THE ESSENTIAL WEAVE
Woven on an Automatic Dobby Loom, the Essential Weave is the first weave, the OG, and the ultimate classic. Most similar to the original Turkish Towels (peshtemals) invented in the 17th century, the Essential Weave is lightweight, sleek, and durable. It's yarn dyed so color will remain consistent throughout years of use, and it has 30 yarns per centimeter which is our tightest weave, for a smooth and crisp feel. At 190 GSM, the Essential Weave is the lightest of our weaves in terms of weight/thickness, but not without purpose! The lighter weave means its the fastest drying weave, the easiest/smallest packed weave, and the most durable weave.
Like all of our weaves, the Essential Weave is flat-woven and made from 100% long-staple Turkish cotton, meaning it will get softer and more absorbent with use and wash (as the long fibers in the cotton open up), much like your favorite old flannel.
